It's Winter

As much as I love fall, this is pretty cute, too!

Feelin' pretty good

Ever since having a baby (and let's be honest, ever since I've been born) I have been trying to manage my figure. I realize this is not unique to me; most women (and sure, men, too) can relate. Since the summer I have been stuck at a weight-loss plateau. I kept dancing around the same three pounds over and over again. So frustrating, right?? Ugh.

Anyway, I got desperate to break through my plateau and decided to change things up. I have been doing low-carb for the past 4 weeks! Ah! I have definitely lost weight - but at what cost? I could kill for a bowl of cereal or a delicious piece of toast... or no wait! a pancake. Yes, a scrumptious pancake. Mmmmm....

But I can't! Not for another two weeks (until Thanksgiving). I have already lost 9 pounds, which is pretty awesome. I just hope I can sustain this after reintroducing carbs. I think I will still due minimal sugar.... but, you know what, I digress. This is not what I wanted to tell you about!

What I meant to say in the beginning before I started going off about my love/hate of carbs, was that I was at the gym and got a really nice compliment. I have gone to my gym for about a year now, and I go about 4 times a week, so I know the staff pretty well. A woman that works in the locker room stopped me just to say she thought I was looking thin. Wait - what did you say?? Thin? Thank you! It made my day. And it really gives me the will power to put off that pancake for a little while longer.

Someday, carbs... someday

Just a little Trick-or-Treating update...

We made a game time decision to try out some trick-or-treating with a few friends.
Although Jacob couldn't really trick or treat very much (due to mobility issues), he still loved it... He was a Halloween champ.

Shark, Boba Fett and Burger - what a crew!

Sadly, Mustard had to work (so many sandwiches, so little time),
but Ketchup and Burger soldiered on.

Look at this little Trick-or-Treater go! Oh gosh, I love this guy.
