Calling All Baby-Daddy's

I was driving to work and noticed a new addition to the little Copy/Fax/Internet hut down the road from our school. Now, first of all, you remember where I teach:

Okay, now that you have the mental picture . . . so I'm driving down the road, and notice the sign in the window reads as follows:

COPY

FAX

PATERNITY TESTING

INTERNET

COFFEE

Whhhat? The need is that great? Is this little Internet Hut really going to make money offering paternity testing at the same place where it's $1.00 a minute to use the dial-up Internet? I guess they are convinced they will. Now granted, at the last parent teacher conferences I held I had multiple parents with 5 or less teeth in their mouth and, thankfully, only one parent (this time) in slippers -but still- this new development at the Internet Hut really says something about the neighborhood . . . and our society for that matter. What the heck is going on?

That said- I do need to make some copies and send a fax, so I might as well take along my baby and the guy I met at the club 10 months ago . . . right?
