We live in a great part of town. We are one block off of Boys Town (Chi's lovely Gay district) and one block from the lake. Just steps from tons of cute shops and restaurants. It's a very young, trendy, fun and colorful part of town. We just love it. But every once in a while you find a drunken, idiot, frat boy passed out in the planter in front of your apartment complex. Robbie, unfortunately did not have his camera when he stumbled upon this gluttonous fool- but he was more than happy to re-enact it for me and all of you.

And then, every once in awhile you walk down your street and find the rock 'n roll Methodist Church. I almost prefer a fire and brimstone message, at least we're acknowledging that church revolves around God and not the top 40. Excuse me, but since when do we need The Killers to lure people into church? Either you want to be there or you don't. If I want to hear the Killers' thoughts on life and religion, I'll turn on my Ipod. Let me give this Church Marquee a big: Whatevs (and PS, there is another church not too far away with a painting of the Apocalypse and a huge quote from Bono. I'll try to get that pic for you, sometime. Again, WHATev)

Thank you, Robbie. I really needed the pictures to appreciate the situation.. Love it. I have been thinking about documenting what the church marquees say around our neighborhood for a couple of months now. Really entertaining, and I guess they need whatever help they can get.
ah, yes. we're not in provo anymore :)
That's pretty ironic considering the lead singer of The Killers used to be LDS. . .
Dear Sarah,
Sometimes I get jealous that I am not as funny as you.
It's okay. I like you anyway.
Sincerely,
Blaine
Man, it looks like you guys live in an awesome area. I wish I could come visit like Kathy, she's still talking about that awesome trip.
Okay, that is hilarious. If you didn't tell me Robbie was re-enacting a drunk man, I wouldn't have guessed it. I can't believe that they are just passed out like that. Thanks for sharing.
Also, The Killers music at church?! Too funny.
we used to see stuff like that all the time in minnesota. I should dig up some of my old photos and post them...seriously, what are people thinking? p.s. you don't find things like that in Texas...people still take their bible seriously down there.
You guys. You slay me. Thank you for sharing your awesome life!

CCFL!
I looked at this and thought...hmm that drunken frat boy looks a lot like robbie. And then it was!! Do I know my brother or do I know my brother!?
It's a little unsettling how well Robbie plays the part of a drunken frat boy.
I'd like to echo Blaine's comment. I'm so grateful you have a blog that can make me fall over laughing! Thank you for turning my day into smiling-spectacular! Reading your blog sure does make me miss you though...
